Our Mission
Who are we
The VT INFORMS chapter aims to stimulate interests in the fields of Operations Research, Manufacturing Systems and Processes, and Management Sciences, and to provide a venue for learning and professional development for students of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and other related programs, at Virginia Tech.
The Chapter serves as a platform for students and faculty to get exposed to research and industry professionals by providing a means of communication, networking, and information exchange.

Our chapter serves the following objectives:
Facilitate
Encourage interest in the field of operations research (OR), management sciences (MS), manufacturing systems and analytics
Forum
Present a forum for academia and industry speakers to address ORMS issues, share their research and collaborate
Workshops
Provide professional development workshops about the methods and techniques of OR/MS to our students
Connect
Encourage graduate students to grow their professional network with the industry
Support
Prepare graduate students for both the academic and industrial job markets
Community
Enhance the sense of community within the VT ISE department
